AZ Model has released the first two of their four “complete new tool” model kits of the DH.103 Hornet in 1/72 scale.
The two new releases represent the F.Mk.I (AZ7651), PR.Mk.2 (AZ7652) with each including three post-war livery options. The F.Mk.I kit features decals for PX 284 “Black H” of 65 Squadron; PX 275 “White GO-F” of Central Fighter Establishment and PX 216 “Black WA-TN,” the personal aircraft of Wing Commander W.A. “Tiny” Neale. The PR.Mk.2 kit offers options for PX 216 “White R” of CFS Handling Squadron; VA 964, used for crash barrier trials and VA 966 of CFS Handling Squadron. The kits appears to consist of grey and clear plastic parts.
F.Mk.3 (AZ7653) and FR.Mk.4 (AZ7654) kits are reportedly slated for future release.
