A 1949 Cessna 140A project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
This 140A has a bunch of desirable upgrades… with the most desirable being its Lycoming O-290-D2B conversion (STC SA4-640). This conversion cranks up the power from 90HP to 140HP to make for a hot rod 140. The benefits include a 25% decreased take off run, 200ft per minute higher climb rate, 10 mph cruise speed increase, 10 mph top speed increase, and better performance at altitude all while sipping 6-6.5 gallons per hour! The engine was prop struck during transport, so it wasn’t under power when it occurred, but will need a prop strike inspection.
