A 1946 Luscombe 8A project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):
I have this complete 1946 Luscombe. The propeller was stolen right off the plane at the airport in 1979 and the owner rebuild the motor and put the plane in Storage. It has been in storage ever since. The only parts missing is one of the wing struts and the propeller along with the bolts to bolt the wings back on… I did buy this airplane from a Storage lot auction so I will be able to get clean registration. I do have all the logbooks since the plane was new, and owned by a church and used for missionary aviation… This plane is virtually corrosion free.
The aircraft is located in Stuart, Florida and is currently available for US $15,000, although offers are also being accepted. Click here to check out the complete listing on eBay.
