1946 Champ 7AC Project For Sale: “Isolated Damage, Easy”

A 1946 Champ AC project has been spotted for sale. The listing states (in part):

1946 Champ 7AC, C90-12F upgrade with 1,378 SNEW, wing hit corn on landing, easy! This Champ 7AC has been upgraded to the C-90 engine (95 h.p. for takeoff) and a McCauley metal prop 1a90/cf7341 just overhauled by Maxwell 4/2021! The C-90 shows 1,378 total time since new and no overhaul, but there is a receipt for crankcase repair in 2016 in the records… (engine log starts in 2004 with time continued). Airframe logs go back to 1953. The engine has been updated, with new style Slick mags! Lightweight Sky-Tec push button starter Overhauled generator, along with new Zeftronics regulator installed at last annual 6/10/2023. The airframe has been upgraded with 8.50×6 tires and a new Alaskan 3200 tailwheel assembly! This aircraft suffered isolated damage when it hit corn on the side of the owner’s narrow home strip, with the right wing.
