A 1944 Piper J3L Cub which has ” undergone a museum quality restoration” is currently available for sale. The listing states (in part):

This aircraft has undergone a museum quality restoration by Bandon Aviation (Bandon, Oregon). It received new wing spars, new sealed lift struts, complete airframe rebuild, new wing and fuselage covering, new paint, new Bendix Magnetos, freshly overhauled propeller and carburetor… registered as NC-35226 with large numbers painted on top the right wing and under the left wing. Painted in the traditional yellow and black Piper Cub paint scheme. The paint and interior are in excellent condition. The 65 HP Continental runs great, has approximately 1100 hours SMOH and 15 hours STOH. This aircraft is restored to it’s original configuration with no electrics which therefore requires hand propping. Everything on the aircraft was meticulously finished… Updated with disc brakes Aircraft will be sold with a fresh annual inspection.
