A 1998 kit-built Fisher R-80 Tiger Moth has hit the market.
The 80% scale aircraft is described as 100% complete and built by a “master builder,” with “outstanding” workmanship. It is reportedly powered by a Subaru EA-81 engine that was factory overhauled and converted for aircraft use by Status in 2000. The engine is said to have a total time of 206 hrs SMOH, and at the time of the last annual, the airframe had amassed a total time of 256 hrs.
The aircraft reportedly suffered some damage due to hangar incident caused by heavy snowfall. This damage is said to be limited to the upper and lower starboard wing panels/aileron and elevator.
Airframe and engine logbooks, maintenance log, airworthiness certificate and FAA bill of sale are reporteldy included in the sale. The Moth is currently being offered for $8,795. Click here to check out the complete listing.
