HpH Models has released the first photos of their upcoming 1/32 Aviatik Berg D.1 model kit showing the prototype’s highly detailed fuselage.
The aircraft, designed by Julius von Berg, was the first Austrian-designed fighter to be built, performing its first flight in 1916. The type entered service with the Austro-Hungarian Air Service in 1917 and operated on the Eastern, Italian and Balkan fronts until the end of WW1.
The kit will reportedly offer full resin parts with a 3D printed engine and markings for 138.120, a D.1 that operated with Flik 63J in 1918. Pricing and a final release date have not yet been announced.
